本題（ダジャレ集）
本題の見方－－－ダジャレ文の中の青色文字は英語の意味、赤色文字は語呂合わせの部分で、かなりなまったり方言ぽくなる場合があります。ただし、フレーズはただの解説文だけの場合があります。
ダジャレ文は語呂合わせの為の文言で、意味の正当性、日本文としての正確性は有りません事ご周知下さい。
英単語に添えられた丸数字は難易度レベルで、詳しくは2012.8/27号をご参照ください。（⑦～⑫は書物には頻出。⑳以上も新聞等には時折出現する。）
緑色背景文字は、初公開時以降に追加・修正した部分です。
―類義語― （equal属５語、ほかに、the same,uniform,,interchangeable有り。）---無理矢理ダジャレたので苦しいものばかりですが、tantamountが覚えられれば無駄はないと思います。
１）普通とは同種ではないホモ爺に明日はない。⑩homogeneous(a)---超苦許されたし。
２）こんなダメ親に似たのは遺（アイ）伝と怒る。⑤identical(a)
３）外見では区別つかなくてもいいんですって、いんぎん者（正直者）ぶるのは。⑫indistinguishable---分かったような分からんようなダジャレ文にて御免候。distinguishから類推可ではありますね。
４）あの双子区別つかん、真の「似ます」だ。⑫synonymous(a)---お馴染みsynonymの形容詞形。
５）肺がん検査は、痰溜まんとしないも同然。⑮tantamount(a)---前置詞toとフレーズを形成。

このdrone、「ラジコン飛行機」などの訳語もあるが、このほどオバマ米大統領が発表した対テロ戦略の中で触れたのは、軍事用のdroneを使った攻撃のことだ。無人で運用できることから、敵からの攻撃で撃墜されても死傷者が出ないとあって、米国はdrone strikeをパキスタン国境地域、イエメン国内などで盛んに使ってきた。ただ、この攻撃で民間人が巻き添えになることも多い。（ALK社の「英語の現代用語」より）

随想
昔のアメリカ映画（「陽の当たる場所」という１９５１年もの。原題はA Place in the Sun、原作小説は「アメリカの悲劇」An American Tragedy）を、ＤＶＤで久しぶりに見ました。
あっと驚きました。７～８割は音声が聞き取れたのです。トーイックのための練習をしてきたとは言え、ＳＶＯＣがはっきり区別して耳に入ってきました。思うに、５，６０年前の英語の話し言葉は今のフレーズだらけのものとは全然違い、学校で習ったようなものが多く、我々日本人にとって分かり易いものであったことに気付かされました。私が学んできた英語は、まさにそういう昔のものであり、だから今の英語では苦労させられるのかと妙に納得してしまいました。（日本語で言えば「小津安二郎」の映画の日本語は今の会話文と確かに違うのと同じ。話し言葉はかくも時代により違うことに唖然。）皆さんはいかがですか、そんなこと感じませんか。
実は、英会話の勉強はあきらめつつありましたが、このことに気づいて何かさばさばした思いを抱きました。（時代のせいにしてお恥ずかしい限りですが－－－英会話学習、殊にアップデートな話し言葉の習得は、やはり現地でないと非効率極まりないと言えそうですね。）
さて、それならこのブログで扱っている語彙はどうなんだですが、毎回のレビューⅢでも分かる通り多くは今のメディア（タイム、フォーブス、ニューヨクタイムズなど）でも頻繁に使われているものですのでどうかご安心ください。話し言葉と書き言葉では事情は異なり、読解力アップには無駄にはならないはずです。とにかくコツコツと不明語をつぶしていきましょう。
