2/11英語の難しい原因解明せり!

                              随想
英語の難しい原因分かりました。それは英語という代物がそもそも存在しなかったという事実に起因する、そう理解しました。(そもそも英国人なるものも存在しなかった?)即ち、英語は、外来語(外国語そのもの)の寄せ集めでしかないということです。このため、一つの事を言うのにラテン系、ギリシャ系、ドイツ系、イタリア系、スカンジナビア系などそれぞれの言い方が残り、類義語として英単語を形成してしまい、物凄い数になってしまった。実際、例えば「外来語」を指し示す単語が日本語にはこの言い方以外何もないのに対し、和英辞書で調べたら、~word、~borrow、など10個程現れ、ネーティブインストラクターにどうやってピッタリしたもの選んでいるのか正したところ何と、好きなものでよいという答えに尚ビックリでした。(ジャパニーズイングリッシュよかったんじゃん。---その通り、詳しい考察はまた追って)仮に名詞、動詞、形容詞がそれぞれ10通りの言い方があるとすると、それらを使った英文は1000通りできる。実際には場面毎のぴったりした語彙、また語彙同士の相性等が有り、(これを分かるには、多分現地に20年以上位は居ないと無理なのでしょうね。)1000通りには成らないものの、通じるだけならそれに近い事に成るらしく、或る本(「大草原の小さな家」の著者の裏話)の作家の母娘(親子ともに作家)の間で、あれこれ文章論が戦わされていたのを、さもありなんと思い起こします。かつて私は英語を「ハチャメチゃな言語」呼ばわりしましたが、やはりその通りで、これでは受信型であるリスニングでさえも、とてもマスターできる筈はなく、映画等理解できるようには成らない訳だと妙に納得してしまいました(自分の能力の無さの言い訳?)。そんな言語が不幸にも世界共通語に成り上がり、これからグローバルな世界に生きて行かざるを得ない若者には、なんともご愁傷様と言う以外ありません。さてさて、英語の難しさは分かったとして、さー、では、どうされますか皆様は。この続きはまたに致しませう。---それにつけても、逆恨みとは言え、英語の悪口はいやー何度やっても楽しいものですね、(笑)。(近親憎悪か、はたまた振られた恋人への腹いせか、被注目者・勝者へのやっかみか。---本当の理由は折みて告白させて頂きます。左記の最後のものに近いです、「勝者」の意味がちょい違いますが。更に悪口は、言語のみに留まらず、いずれはネーティブそのものに向かいますので、乞うご期待?)

—NH系—---再び、NHK語学講座「ラジオ英会話」1月号の中から、注釈でとりあげられていた単語のダジャレ文です。今回は全9語で、内4語は既に掲載済みですが、レビューでは平等に取り扱い、NHKでの単語がメディアでどう扱われているかまた検証しますので、今後も見て下さい。尚、例によって、敬意を表し太文字にしました。
1)インチキ神話(せ)怒る。⑩mythical(a)---mythologyの形容詞形なることは既知か。
